Lina Group Chairman elected as PhilCycling lead
It is a fresh season for the cycling community as the Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines (PhilCycling) and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) held an election of officers on 03 July 2012 at One Esplanade in Pasay City.
Lina Group Chair and sportsman, Mr. Bert Lina, gets a four-year term as PhilCycling chairman. As the new PhilCycling head, Lina envisions that "Philippine Cycling can become a major player in the international scene." As proof of support, Lina donated a seed money of P0.5 million to the organization right away. According to the Chairman, "with the proper support and development of grassroots programs, we can nurture young talents and develop a strong pool of talent."
Together with Chairman Lina is Mayor Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino as re-elected President and Philip Ella Juico as Vice President.
